b'N O I T C E L F E R WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE MADE IN GODS IMAGE?By Alan J. Talley and Scott HolzknechtWhere can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence? . . . If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me.(Psalm 139:7,910)As humans we are made in Gods image, and all of creation has Gods image stamped firmly upon it. No place inside or outside of this planet is without signs of Gods creative presence. All that you seeflying in the air, swimming in the river, walking upon the landis moving along pathways designed by the Creator. So, of course, we cannot run from God. The Divine Life has been there before us and is holding us still. For Reflection:1 Take several moments to imagine the most unusual, remote places on Earth. What does it mean to say that God is fully present there? What can we learn about God from that realization? How might that awareness help us in our own lives?2 If people embraced the knowledge that Gods Divine Presence is in every living being, plant, animal, and human, how might the world be different? How would those beings who are most vulnerable be affected by this belief? For meditation:I am surrounded by you in all that I do. In all that I do, I am surrounded by you.The scriptural quotations contained hereinThis reflection is adapted from are from the New Revised Standard VersionEveryday Justice, by Alan J.
