Chapter 16 Activity: Symbols of the Resurrection

One of the symbols the Church uses to represent Christ’s Resurrection is the lily. This beautiful white flower comes to life in the spring, reborn from a lifeless bulb. It resembles a trumpet, an instrument used to announce important news, especially victory. What other symbols from nature might represent Jesus’ Resurrection? In the space below, draw an image of something from nature that symbolizes the Resurrection. Then explain your illustration.
