Lord, help us not to blame . . .

Lord, help us not to blame those because of their misguided heritage. But to learn to lead them toward their own salvation. Let us not think of this as a tragedy, but as a chance to overcome and conquer fear. Only in you can we accept our own humanity. Please, God, keep us from harm and hate. May your angels bring us up to you from the pain, and have us in your eternal peace. We pray to you, God, in the name of all the suffering. Amen.
