The Bible:

Core Course Appropriate for Grades Eleven and Twelve

One of the most frequently identified needs of young people is a solid grounding in the Catholic understanding and interpretation of the Bible. The Bible: Power and Promise is a highly creative and effective response to that need. Through consistent use of biblical texts, the participants review the basic structure of the Bible and learn about the process through which the Scriptures developed. They are introduced to biblical literary forms, key people and events in biblical history, and the specifically Catholic understanding of biblical revelation. The ultimate aim of this core course is to prepare the young people to make the Bible a vital part of their continuing spiritual journey.
