Pat Finan

Pat Finan has served in catechesis and youth ministry for more than 20 years. He is coordinator of faith formation and youth ministry for the Diocese of Davenport and previously served the Diocese of Des Moines as its social justice coordinator. Before moving to Iowa, he was youth ministry coordinator and director of religious education at a Florida parish. He holds a master of pastoral studies degree from Loyola University in Chicago and a bachelor of journalism degree from the University of Missouri. A former editor and writer for secular newspapers, he now writes and edits for diocesan newspapers, the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, and publishers of Catholic religious textbooks. Pat and his wife, Laura, live west of Knoxville, Iowa, with their three children.
